Understanding the Teenage Brain

Community Health Network is thrilled to invite you and your staff to a special event featuring Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, an international brain scientist who will be presenting "Understanding the Teenage Brain" from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, April 28th at Clowes Hall at Butler University.  Dr. Taylor is a Harvard-trained brain scientist who experienced a massive stroke and wrote the New York Times Best Seller, My Stroke of Insight. 

 

Dr. Taylor learned about Community Health Network's bold vision of Zero Suicides for Indiana Youth, she volunteered to speak at this informative event!  Please share this invitation with anyone that you think may be interested and ask them to RSVP at CommunityEvents@ecommunity.com so that we can reserve free tickets for them.  Please let us know how many tickets you will need when you RSVP. Elkhart County Community Foundation Program Associate Position
The Elkhart County Community Foundation is seeking a full-time Program Associate to join our support team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the grants and scholarships database, tracking extensive information on foundation grant making, grantees and students, managing grant and scholarship payments, reporting, budget tracking, committee materials, meeting minutes, and scheduling as needed for program staff. Indy Crash Women's Professional Football Team

The Indianapolis women's professional football team, the Indy Crash, has their next home game is May 2nd at Marian University. They have partnered with the Chris Lytle Foundation which is all about rising up against bullying. Chris Lytle is a UFC fighter and resides here in Indianapolis. The team's board of directors wanted to make May 2nd an IPS kids night where they will get to come down onto the field and take the pledge against bullying with Chris Lytle. 

 

Also, in recognition of Thank a Youth Worker Day on May 7th so they decided to honor our city's youth workers at this game as well. With all that being said, attached is a flyer that will get any IPS student, with an adult, into the game free of charge. Also any youth worker can show this flyer and get a buy one get one free discount. So please everyone print some out for yourself if you can join us at the game!!

Reach For Youth has funding to provide our Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) programming to middle school and high school youth in Marion County. This program is FREE of charge to any youth serving organization that would like to provide their youth with information and discussion on teen dating violence and healthy vs. unhealthy relationships.
