Heard it From a Youth Worker:
Across the globe, traffickers buy and sell children, exploiting them for sex and forced labor, and moving them across international borders. In the United States, children are subjected to human
trafficking in many different sectors.

They often prey upon the children's vulnerabilities - their hopes for an education, a job, or a better life in another country - and may use psychological intimidation or violence to control the
children and gain financial benefits from their exploitation.

The Overwhelmed Abuser: The Role of Stress and Placement on Caregiver Behavior

January 28, 2015 12:00 PM

King's Daughters' Health, Madison, IN

Exploring the role of the situation, this presentation assumes that nearly all caregivers enter the care-giving role with the best intentions but can become overwhelmed with stress and react in a way that may cause harm--without intention.

Lunch and sign-in will begin at 11:30AM, with the presentation to start promptly at 12:00PM. Please arrive early enough to obtain your lunch and settle-in before the presentations are to begin.

Scott County Partnership's Annual Trivial Pursuit Night!

Saturday, February 7th at 6:00 PM

Mid America Science Park, Scottsburg, IN

Get your team together and then challenge another entity, organization, group, etc., to participate in Scott County Partnership's 4th  Annual Trivial Pursuit!  It is great fun and for a great cause!

As in the past, teams are $150 if you register before February 1, 2015 and $175 if registered thereafter.  Teams cannot have more than 8 members.  Besides the Trivial Pursuit contest itself, individual teams will be judged on "Best Decorated Table" and "Best Snacks."  Judgments for these two categories are purely subjective and Judges may be bribed!   (All proceeds go to the SCP - any food used for bribes go to the Judges.)
