The Institute for Sustainable Leadership is pleased to announce our fall leadership experience. Attached is information about the four-week program. I need your help to spread the word. Please share with your network and consider participating. Maximum class size is 18 participants and it is first come first served basis.

This is a life changing experience and you will not want to miss it. Better yet, it is a cost effective Purdue Extension sponsored program.

Marion County Commission on Youth MCCOY Opportunities

What can be done to help today's youth bounce back from challenges? MCCOY is partnering with DCS and local funders to bring "Flipping the Resiliency Switch" to Indy on Sept. 11 from 1:30-3 p.m. at the United Way building. Come learn about the WhyTry Curriculum and kick-off in the Indy area. Register at: www.mccoyouth.org. Questions? Contact becky.reich@mccoyouth.org.

Advocacy and lobbying are effective ways for non-profits to create awareness about how a community is impacted by public policy and to generate interest in and support for an organization's mission. If your organization is considering whether or not to enter the advocacy arena, but is unsure of how or where to begin, MCCOY can provide your organization with our Advocacy 101 Training. Please contact mindi.goodpaster@mccoyouth.org for more information.

Nonprofit Human Service Executive Certificate Program - Accepting Application

Wouldn't it be great if someone designed an executive education program specifically for nonprofit human service leaders?

Thanks to Indiana University and Arizona State University, we have.  The two universities have brought together some of their greatest assets-including the The IU Fundraising School and the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation-for the benefit of Assembly members (and their affiliates).

The price is remarkably affordable---$2500 for those registered by September 30; $2750 October 1-November 30.  The time commitment is also realistic-two in-person convenings and the rest on-line.

I can't say strongly enough that we expect participation to be very competitive.  Chances of getting in are best if you send this information ASAP to likely candidates, both at your national office and at affiliates, with an ACT NOW! notation.

They are planning on just 24 participants, so, again, act now.
