AIBD Creating Where People Live
California Society

Hello fellow AIBD MEMBERS,

We planning an affair and it's going to be exceptional!!!!  We're combining two diverse activities, both of which will delight, amaze and educate you!!!

On Saturday, Oct. 12 we will visit the site of  The U. S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon & Expo at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, CA, walking the homes as a group.  Admission is free, parking is $5.00. For more information check out the website:

Solar Decathlon

Information about meeting place and time to follow!

On Sunday, Oct 13,  we will be holding a workshop under the tutelage  of  our own Caroline Veerman, in Hand Drawn Rendering exercises on loose interior perspectives, exterior perspectives, floor plans and color approach. Overlay photographs and 3D model images.  The drawings you see here are examples of what will be covered.

We are still working on locations, but the workshop will be from 10:00 am to 4:00.  Cost will be $75.00 plus supplies.  A list of materials and equipment will be provided to registrants.  The workshop will be followed by an evening social event at Caroline's home in Carlsbad!

Because we are still working on finalizing locations, Event Registration Forms are not quite ready to go out, but reserve your space now by sending an email to Kurt Bednar, or call him at 818-439-4589.  If you will be travelling by air, the closest airports would be John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana for proximity to the Solar Decathlon and either John Wayne Airport or San Diego Airport for proximity to Carlsbad.
