A New Era in Multifamily Housing


The housing landscape in this country is evolving, with many Americans opting to rent vs. own. Consumers now know that the "American Dream" of homeownership simply doesn't make sense for everyone. In fact today less than half of Americans believe owning a home is the key to middle class status. This new attitude toward homeownership was the impetus behind "10 Principles for a New Era in Multifamily Housing" outlined in a new "Urban Land Institute" presentation.

San Diego Home Sales Surge

Home sales are up again in America's Finest City. According to new statistics from the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors, sales were up in August, and the median sale price of single-family homes in San Diego County remained above $500,000. The most expensive listing? A seven-bedroom, 10,000-square-foot La Jolla estate that sold for a whopping $9 million.
