Greetings!  Randy Nicklaus
In November we were reaccredited by the Alliance of Information & Referral Systems (AIRS)!  The reaccreditation process is conducted every five years.  This is a significant undertaking by our staff and I'm proud of our agency for achieving this outcome!
AIRS Accredited
On November 18th we signed the contract to launch our new Help Me Grow (HMG) program.  We are one of five new HMG Affiliate sites in Florida. The program serves families with children 0-8 to help provide early assessment and intervention of developmental challenges. During December and January we will be training staff, engaging our HMG partners, establishing new protocols in our 2-1-1 call center and preparing to help our HMG callers beginning in February.  New outreach activities will begin by late January so stay tuned.
I'm excited to introduce our newest staff members:  Angela Hardiman, Development Director; Jonnekia Thomas, Executive Specialist; Tiffany Similien; HMG Program Coordinator; Paula Roberts, HMG Care Coordinator; and Kahla Voyes, HMG Resource Specialist.

REFLECTIONS

"In my time volunteering with 2-1-1, I gained immeasurable skills and experiences that have furthered me, both personally and academically. I loved being able to help people one-on-one - it's very rewarding to hear someone tell you "thanks" for providing a listening ear. 2-1-1 provides a truly unique opportunity for anyone who wants to pursue counseling or social work."

~ Rachel K, Former Volunteer Hotline Crisis Counselor
