Greetings!

On November 21 we received $1,813.34 in donations during Match Day 2013 (via www.findlearngive.org).  As a result we garnered the full $1,000 match available to us from the Community Foundation/Knight Foundation.  After the transaction fees, our net receipts from the Foundation were $2,734.96.

Overall, the Match Day event generated $214,500 in on-line donations to 83 different organizations.  In addition, the Knight Foundation provided $50,000 in matching funds and prizes; and the Community Foundation added $8,500 in matching funds.

The Knight Foundation has provided funding for another Match Day in 2014!  The Match Days provide a lot of incentive for giving so we are happy this event will happen again.

Thanks again to those of you who gave during Match Day as well as those of you who made gifts to 2-1-1 Big Bend throughout the year.  Your help and charitable giving is essential for us to carry on our mission!

During February 2014 we will be hosting several events to bring awareness to 2-1-1 Big Bend programs.  The first is our inaugural 5K Run / 1 Mile Fun Walk.  Registration information is located in this newsletter.  Please join us and pass the word to your friends.

Happy Holidays everyone!
