December 2012 |
| Randy Nicklaus, President |
Greetings!
Last month we celebrated National Philanthropy Day and participated in the local Match Day for www.FindLearnGive.org, a program of the Community Foundation of North Florida. Thanks to several donors and the Community Foundation we raised more than $1500 plus a $1000 match for a total of $2500. We appreciate all who contributed and helped us raise the full match that was available to us!
Your feedback is important to us! Every five years we go through a national reaccreditation process with the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS). During 2013, we will be conducting a thorough review of our programs and agency policies and procedures as part of this process. If you have used our hotline services or online resource database you can help use with your feedback by click here and filling out a short questionnaire. This is also located on the bottom of our Homepage on our website.
Two training opportunities are just around the corner. Our next Hotline Volunteer Counselor Training Class begins in January and an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop will be held in February. See information later in this newsletter for details. Please help us pass the word about these upcoming events.
As always, I would like to thank our volunteers, staff and board members for a wonderful year of service to our community. Happy Holidays to all!
