Greetings!
The 2-1-1 Big Bend Fall Hotline Training Class has 30 volunteers enrolled. Hotline volunteers are selected based on their applications, interviews and references. Plus, they must be able to commit to a 10 week training program and 200 hours of volunteer time after training. We really appreciate all of our dedicated volunteers!
Our Coordinator of Volunteers, Liovani Nazario, is always recruiting more volunteers to work on our hotlines as well as in our other program areas. Several opportunities exist for volunteers to work with our outreach, special events, fundraising, information management and administrative areas, in addition to those who want to work on our hotlines. Hotline training classes are offered three times per year and the next one starts in January. However, we accept volunteer applications year round, especially for the other programs in our agency.
We are also appreciative of the seven interns who are working with us this semester. They come from FSU, FAMU and Thomas University.
If you or anyone you know is interested in a volunteer or internship opportunity with 2-1-1 Big Bend, please call our Coordinator of Volunteers at 617-6309 or visit our website.
