CITY SELECTS ARCHITECTURAL FIRM
City Center Sketch
The City of Sandy Springs  has selected Midtown-based Rosser International Inc. as the architect of record to lead the design process for the civic facility to be located in the City Center. The City also announced its selection of Chicago-based Johnson Consulting to help the city explore multi-use opportunities for the facility.

Rosser is known for its extensive work in creating a variety of different architectural styles, from modern buildings to traditional development in an historic setting. Examples of its work include the World of Coca-Cola Museum in downtown Atlanta, the Performing Arts Center in Greensboro, N.C., and the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth. Rosser will assist the city in Phase 1 activities, which include identifying visual goals and developing a conceptual design.

Johnson Consulting, a real estate and hospitality-consulting firm, will help the city determine best uses for the facility's performing arts and meeting spaces. The company's previous work includes strategic planning for convention and conference centers, arenas, entertainment/urban development districts and performing arts facilities. The feasibility study should be completed in May.

HAPPY CAMPERS, HAPPY PARENTS!
Campers

Summer should be about ice cream, watermelon, poolside fun (and sunblock) and great activities!  Long considered one of the best kept secrets for being affordable and fun, the summer camps offered through Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks are a wonderful way for children to spend the long, lazy days of summer with old friends and making new ones.  Whether your child is an artist, an athlete or both, there is something for everyone.
