LOCAL 802 ENDORSES HILLARY CLINTON
|
|
On Tuesday, Aug. 9, the Local 802 Executive Board voted to endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton for president!
Hillary Clinton has demonstrated an awareness and ability to advocate for the priorities and needs of America's working class throughout her career in public service. She's championed the importance of healthcare reform, raising the federal minimum wage, and strengthening the rights and protections of America's middle class by protecting collective bargaining rights. She also supports immigrants, minorities and the diverse fabric of our community.
The Nov. 8 general election is right around the corner, and now is not the time to ignore politics. Make sure your voice is heard! Support candidates who advocate for the needs and interests of New York's world-class musicians.
What can you do? Vote, volunteer and contribute!
There are many ways you can help ensure that Hillary Clinton is elected between now and Nov. 8. Volunteer for Hillary's campaign in New York City or in an important swing state like Pennsylvania. For more information, contact Local 802 Political Director Christopher Carroll by clicking here or calling (212) 245-4802, ext. 176.
Contribute to Tempo 802! We are raising funds in order to support local, federal and presidential candidates but we need your help. Without your contribution to Local 802's political action committee, we won't have the ability to support Hillary Clinton or any other candidate. Contribute online through PayPal here, or mail a check to Tempo 802, Local 802 AFM, Membership Department, 322 West 48th Street, New York, NY 10036
Let's work together and vote for candidates who are supportive of the arts, the labor movement and the needs and priorities of musicians and all people. Together we can make change!
