For our members in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland and Rhode Island, the presidential primary is TODAY (Tuesday, April 26).
For any voting help, contact our political director Christopher Carroll here or (212) 245-4802, ext. 176.

And, speaking of politics...contributing to TEMPO 802, Local 802's political action committee, is one way musicians can support our community. TEMPO is a vital tool , an important resource and an asset for our work with our elected partners and government officials. This tool is crucial for our work at the local and federal levels to ensure that the interests of musicians and the art community are heard, protected and strengthened. To contribute, click here.

Join the Central Labor Council, NYCOSH and other labor partners as we commemorate those we have lost and work to create safer working conditions. We'll meet on the south side of West 46th Street and Eighth Avenue this Thursday, April 28 at 11:30 a.m. It was at this location that a worker, Christian Ginesi, died in a preventable construction incident last May. REMEMBERING PRINCE
(1958-2016)
Prince at the Coachella Festival in 2008. Photo by Penner via Wikipedia.

An awesome talent, an inspiration, a visionary. Prince was a virtuoso who touched the lives -- personally and professionally -- of so many Local 802 members.

But he brought more than his unique style, musicality and artistry to the world. As a member of AFM Local 30-73, Prince was also an extraordinary advocate for the protection of artist's rights. For that, the entire arts community owes him a debt of gratitude. In the past few days, Local 802 members paid tribute to Prince in some unique ways. Players from "The Color Purple" led a Broadway audience in a rendition of "Purple Rain" and the cast from "Hamilton" sang the Prince hit "Let's Go Crazy" at the end of their show. What are your favorite members of Prince? Tell us by clicking here.
