TRIANGLE SHIRTWAIST FIRE MEMORIAL EVENT
WE WILL NEVER FORGET: The Triangle Shirtwaist Company fire in 1911 was one of the worst tragedies in American labor history. One hundred and forty-six workers -- mainly immigrant women and girls -- lost their lives.

The deaths were due to the owners' standard practice of keeping most doors locked every day to control the workplace and supposedly prevent theft. This year's commemoration takes place on Wednesday, March 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the corner of Washington Place and Greene Street. For more information, see www.RememberTheTriangleFire.org

The event will be live-streamed here.
BREAKING BARRIERS ON BROADWAY

A new web site by the Theatre Development Fund and the Broadway League makes it easy for unique Broadway fans to choose special kinds of performances.

Theatre Access NYC is a web site that provides assistance to theatregoers who are hard of hearing or deaf, have low vision or are blind, who cannot climb stairs or who require aisle seating or wheelchair locations, who are on the autism spectrum or have developmental or cognitive disabilities. For all of these Broadway fans, there is now one great place to find out everything you need to know to choose a show, buy tickets and plan your trip to Broadway.

Broadway shows are for everyone. Enjoy live musical theatre...with the union musicians of Local 802!
DID SOMEONE STEAL YOUR MUSIC AND PUT IT ON THE INTERNET?

If you see your music on YouTube without your permission, start by clicking here

* On Google's copyright resource page, you can report a copyright violation, and more.

* If your music appears on someone's private web page without your permission, start by contacting the owner of the site. Look at the bottom of the home page for clues about who owns the site. Or try www.WhoIs.net.

* There is a larger issue of piracy, which concerns illegal pirate web sites. Corporate advertising on those sites sustains piracy. Our union magazine Allegro covered this topic recently. Click here for more.

Local 802 and the AFM are serious about fighting piracy.
Your music belongs to you!
