healthy EDUCATION!

Sunday marks the first day of spring - it's time to start thinking about gardens, growing, and enjoying warm weather!   I've listed several exciting opportunities to get involved with Groundwork Somerville and our "healthy EDUCATION" programming below.

Would you like to be a "Dig Spring!" Garden Club assistant for after school programming in the school gardens?  Great for folks who enjoy working with elementary students in outdoor settings.  Volunteers commit weekly from March 28th through June 10th between 2:45 and 5:30. Monday (2:45-5:30) and Thursday (2:45-3:15) volunteers still needed.

April Vacation "Spring into Action!" Camp will be at the Growing Center for 2nd and 3rd graders from April 19-22nd.  Parents, sign your children up now while there's still space!  April Vacation Week Volunteer assistants needed.  Do you like being outside, being active, gardening, and working with 2nd and 3rd graders? Sign up for at least one block from 8:30-12 or 11:30-3pm on any day from 4/19-4/22 to help out. Can't commit weekly? Email Tai and we'll get in touch as needed.

Somerville SoilCycle!

Well, it's that time of year again! If you are too busy, don't have room, or just aren't ABLE to compost, then you've come to the right place. GWS is now accepting new subscribers to our Somerville SoilCycle home compost pick-up program!

Regular plan - $40 a month - one pick-up a week

Silver plan - $45 a month - one pick up a week and 5 gallons of compost* delivered in June.

Platinum plan  - $55 a month - one pick-up a week and gallons of compost* and one 12 ounce bag of worm castings* delivered in June.

Thank you for all you do! We hope to see you at many more community events to come.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Lawrence
