Student ID Cards
Student ID cards are available at each library at the La Plata, Leonardtown, and Prince Frederick campuses for all students currently enrolled in CSM classes. A valid photo ID is required, and the first card is free. For more information, e-mail

Student Open Computer Lab
The student computer lab on the La Plata Campus is located in the Business (BU) Building, Room 208. The lab is a great place for students to complete their course work and study. There are computer workstations with Microsoft Office, internet access, and course-specific software. It is open during the spring semester Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information contact the library at circulation@csmd.edu or 301-934-7626.

Spring Break Begins March 18
There will be no classes March 18 - 24. All campuses will close at 5 p.m. on March 19 and reopen Monday, March 25.
Please note that the CSM College Store on all campuses will close at 5 p.m. on March 18 - 19 and will be closed March 20 - 24. Regular hours will resume March 25.

CSM Selects Hughesville Property for Fourth Campus
After months of careful  consideration, the Board of Trustees of the College of Southern Maryland has entered into an agreement to purchase 50 acres in Hughesville for the college's fourth campus. The new campus in Hughesville will initially house CSM's Center for Trades and Energy Training (CTET), which is currently operating in a leased facility in Waldorf. Other buildings that could possibly be built on the fourth campus include a Health Sciences Building and a Fine Arts Center. The college is also considering centralizing its athletic fields, which are currently on the La Plata Campus. Learn More

Faculty Spotlight
|
Antony Zwerdling (Voice) is in his sixth year on the CSM faculty, where he splits his time with Shenandoah University. He holds a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University, a master's degree from Boston University, and a Doctorate from Shenandoah University. In demand throughout the DC area for operatic roles and performances with choruses, his recent performances have included Washington National Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, the Handel and Haydn Society, and the Washington Bach Consort. He has performed over 25 operatic roles ranging from Papageno in Mozart's The Magic Flute to Marcello in Puccini's La Bohème.

Check Out Our Featured Scholarships
The Old Line Bank Business Program Scholarship supports CSM students who are business majors with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
The Brad and Linda Gottfried "Against All Odds" Annual Scholarship supports CSM students who have overcome personal difficulty, demonstrate financial need, and are residents of Calvert, Charles, or
St. Mary's counties.
The Veterans Educational Scholarship provides financial assistance to veterans who are pursuing a degree in criminal justice or homeland security.
The Walter B. Grove II Memorial Art Scholarship supports students majoring in the visual arts and demonstrate financial need. Students must possess and maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. A student is eligible to receive this award for up to two consecutive years.
The Wellness, Fitness, and Aquatics Cancer Survivors and Friends Cancer Scholarship supports students who are cancer survivors or who have lost a parent to cancer and who are residents of Calvert, Charles or St. Mary's counties.

Save the Date for the Tri-County Job & Career Fair
The Tri-County Job & Career Fair will take place Tuesday, April 16, 2013, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the La Plata Campus, Physical Education Center (PE Building). It's free to all students, alumni, and community members who are seeking employment opportunities. Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with employers in areas ranging from information technology and health care to hospitality and the government. Need help preparing?
