Last month we marked Community Hospitals Week in both Durham Region and Toronto, with special newspaper inserts and a radio campaign on Durham Radio, and it was a great way to celebrate local healthcare.
If you didn't hear the radio commercials, interviews, or see the special newspaper sections in Metroland newspapers, and find the links on our Facebook and Twitter pages, well, you are in luck. In this Foundation Update, among our other news items, we are giving you a chance to see what the campaign was all about.
It is also an opportunity for us to thank all of the supporting sponsors and partners in this activity, who made it possible. It starts with the leadership at Rouge Valley Health System for supporting the project in every way. Along with the hospital, we are grateful to the radio stations at Durham Radio, KX 96, 94.9 The Rock and 107.7 CKDO, for bringing a real voice to local healthcare, along with the team at Metroland for bringing the news to everyone in our communities and even beyond.
As you can hear and read in the links below in the Foundation News section, we are blessed to have an amazing team of medical staff, volunteers and donors who participated in the commercials and stories. And, finally, we must shine the spotlight on our corporate sponsors who made this possible through their sponsorship of the newspaper section: VanDusen Chevrolet, OPG, Tribute Communities,The Pickering Town Centre and Veridian Connections.
Let's keep the momentum going! Help keep community healthcare in the spotlight and share this with your friends and colleagues.
Sincerely,
Chad Hanna, President & CEO, Rouge Valley Health System Foundation
