Sold Out!

Those are great words to say when you are still weeks away from a major fundraising event. So you can understand our excitement here as the organizing committee and Foundation staff announced early this month that tickets are no longer available for this year's Rouge Valley Health System Foundation Gala, Rouge after Dark.

A full house will enjoy the beautiful Liberty Grand in Toronto, with an amazing lineup of jazz musicians, a world-class menu, a charity casino and more surprises planned throughout the night.

And in mentioning the organizing committee, I would like to pay special tribute to our co-chairs, Lucy Stocco and Dr. Michael Chang for leading the team and making the event a success before we even open the doors on March 28. They and each of the members of their committee worked diligently to make this year a 'can't-miss' event.

Sincerely,

Chad Hanna

Durham Chair gets
first-hand look at
new equipment

Fundraising for the Heart of it All campaign was completed in the spring of 2013 and as a result the new echocardiogram machines have been in use for more than a year. The community donors to the campaign were celebrated at a special event last June, but the campaign marked its final stage on March 14 this year, when the final installment of a $500,000 gift to the campaign was recognized with a visit from Durham Region Chairman Roger Anderson.

In all, it was possible for five echocardiogram machines and even two portable machines to be purchased for both Rouge Valley Health System sites. The event was recognized in the Ajax-Pickering News Advertiser.
