The New iPad Pro - The Attorney's iPad?
- Paul J. Unger, Esq.
On September 9th, Apple unveiled the long-awaited enormous iPad tablet. In November, the iPad Pro will hit the market. It sports some pretty hefty features, not the least of which is a screaming fast A9X chip, which is almost twice as fast as the processor in the last iPad generation. It has a 12.9 inch screen. Most importantly, it has a stylus, called the Pencil, that promises to be much better than the soft rubber styli available for the iPad Air.

But will the iPad Pro become THE iPad for lawyers? Will it replace a laptop for productivity while also serving as a top-notch courtroom presentation platform. Time will tell. Read on for my initial thoughts on the iPad Pro for lawyers.

October Speaking Engagements
October is prime season for Bar meetings and CLE programs. This month our partners and consultants go coast to coast from Alberta to Maryland and South Carolina, with stops in Michigan, Ohio, and Georgia in between.

MS Word Tip of the Month - Non-Breaking Spaces and Hyphens
-Barron K. Henley, Esq.
As you type, Microsoft Word assumes that any hyphen or space is an acceptable point to flow the text onto the next line or page. However, that may not be a safe assumption. You may want to keep dates or hyphenated names together on the same line.

This month we show you how to control where the break to the next line takes place by properly using non-breaking spaces and hyphens in Word.

MacCorner

Free Webinar Series Continues October 20
-The Case for Practice Management: Why Outlook Isn't Enough
Microsoft Outlook is widely used for email, calendar and contact management. But it lacks one critical function. It cannot organize information based on matter or case. For that reason, it fails as a practice management tool. But there are other excellent options for practice management.

Join Affinity's Director of Education, Jennifer Ramovs, Esq., and learn why Outlook just isn't enough for your daily practice management processes. Register HERE for the 1 PM (EDT) October 20 FREE Webinar.
New Cloud Option for Creating and Editing Documents
- Scott Bassett, Esq.
Keeping documents in the Cloud is often more secure than keeping them on your local computer or your firm's server. It can also be more convenient. I use Microsoft's OneDrive Cloud storage to store my client-related (and personal) documents. On my desktop PC, I have Word set to save automatically to OneDrive.

But what if your travel computing device doesn't (or can't) have the desktop version of Word installed? There is another way.
