Please Write Your Legislators and Urge them to Speak to the Conference Committee Members for our cause

The House and Senate have passed different versions of how FY 16 Budget dollars should be spent.

Both chambers have been responsive to the needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

ADDP is asking our members, friends and families to write their individual legislators and urge the Conference Committee to adopt the following key priority positions
:

1,  HOUSE POSITION Line Item 5920-2025 Day & Employment funded at $183,209,830 preserving Day Habilitation Wrap Supports providing assistance with feeding, toileting and behavioral needs.

2.  SENATE POSITION Line Item 5920-3000 Respite/Family Support funded at $56,388,141  maintaining level funding for in home therapies and respite care, plus $2 million for additional supports for waiting families.

3. House Position Line Item 5920-3005 (5920-3020) Adult Austim Services funded at the Governor's House One Request of $12,367,109, annualizing last year's mid year appropriation and adding $1.5 million for additional families entering the system due per the 2014 Autism Omnibus Bill.  We also endorse the Senate's funding of the Autism Commission, created last year.

4.  Senate Position, Line Item 4000-0600, maintaining Adult Foster Care alternative caregivers providing respite for 24/7/365 caregivers.
