Giving individuals are aging, understanding how to provide care is crucial when reaching end of life.

In this presentation, you will learn how to support individuals at this stage of life, as well as ways to support caregivers. Speakers will discuss the impact of end of life care for individuals on staff morale, and ideas will be shared about how to approach staff, preparing them for hospice and addressing fears, including staff members who say they "cannot do it." You will learn ideas of how to support and talk with staff, guardians, and families as they cope with caring for individuals. Speakers will discuss when to consider implementing hospice services in the home and how to talk about it with the care team (guardian, doctor, service coordinator, etc.).
