Chapter 257 Negotiations with
Massachusetts EOHHS Continue
Following our win at the Superior Court last month, we wanted to share with you a short update on the recent series of meetings between representatives from the ADDP, ABH, the Providers' Council and the Children's League, and EOHHS Secretary Marylou Sudders.
We have agreed to an extension to March 9 of the judge's ruling, as we continue to work towards completing our negotiations with the secretariat. The progress has been slow but fruitful. "We're appreciative to our members for their patience and understanding as we work toward a solution that will strengthen the community-based human services sector in Massachusetts for years to come," said Providers' Council President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Weekes. "After years of delays in implementation, we are cautious but hopeful a resolution on Chapter 257 may be within reach," said Vic DiGravio, President and CEO of the Association for Behavioral Healthcare. "We look forward to sharing the details with all of our members very soon." |
