Dear Collaborative Member,
In the wake of the recent court ruling in our favor on the setting and implementing Chapter 257 rates, we had a productive meeting recently with EOHHS Secretary Marylou Sudders.
Secretary Sudders told us that the Baker Administration will not appeal the decision about the rates that have not yet been set. We are very pleased with this, which is consistent with the Baker Administration's support for Chapter 257. Their option not to appeal will save us valuable money, time and resources, and ensure that the remaining rates are set in time for the beginning of Fiscal Year 2016 on July 1.

In the meeting with ADDP, ABH, the Provider's Council and the Children's League, she also told us they have designated Dana Roszkiewicz as her point person to work with the provider community to devise the most efficient and effective way to implement the court's decision and ensure rates are set and funded in a timely manner. Dana is well-known in the provider community, having worked as a Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Developmental Services for more than 10 years, and before that as the CEO of the Kennedy-Donovan Center in Foxboro.
We are satisfied with the advances that have been achieved in the first few weeks of the new year, and look forward to providing you with more updates as we get closer and closer to realizing the full implementation of 257.
Thank you for your patience and support.
Best,
Michael, Vic, Gary and Erin
