Training Content:
ADDP will host a forum on Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) on October 23, 2014.
Content of the training will include a brief overview of PBS guidelines and questions and answers released by DDS, as well as case examples of agencies of various sizes in different stages of implementation of PBS.
There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers. The target audience will include senior clinical staff, senior quality or division directors, and chief executive officers.

What is PBS?
Positive Behavioral Supports - defined by DDS - is a "systematic, person-centered approach to understanding the reasons for behavior and applying evidence-based practices for prevention, proactive intervention, teaching and responding to behavior, with the goal of achieving meaningful social outcomes, increasing learning and enhancing the quality of life across the lifespan."
