Note:  As the state considers revising its Day and Employment programs for people with developmental disabilities, it is important that those programs that exist under 14C of the Fair Labor Standards be administered with great accuracy, thus ADDP has invited an expert resource from the U.S. Department of Labor to share her expertise with our members.

Accuracy in Commensurate Wage Training 
 

ADDP's first training in its employment series will cover Section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and commensurate wage. The training will include the following items:

  • Overview of section 14(c) of the FLSA;
  • Subminimum wage process;
  • Certification process;
  • Other Section 14(c) issues, such as recordkeeping, notification and posting requirements;
  • Common errors to avoid; and
  • On-line Calculators demonstration
