On The Move
Mike Aho, Receation Supervisor for Spokane Parks & Recreation and long time WRPA outdoor programming guru has accepted a position as Director of Parks and Recreation in Eagle ID and will be starting November 1. Congratulations Mike! - You will be missed.

WRPA Membership Renewals
January 2013-December 2013 Renewals for those on a calendar year membership were sent early October. Agency leaders now have new option to consider...the new Platinum "all inclusive" agency membership. WRPA now provides a type of membership that includes ALL full time staff, board and commission members membership and access to WRPA resources. Attention Metropolitan Park Districts:
The Joint Select Committee on Junior Taxing Districts, Municipal Corporations, and Local Government Finance is holding several meetings before the 2013 legislative session to hear testimony from local government and state agency representatives. Their purpose is to review junior taxing districts and municipal corporations to evaluate their provided services and make recommendations on the appropriateness of consolidating services into a general purpose local government. Scott Gallacher, Executive Director, Key Pen Parks testified on October 25 along with his board president and WRPA Executive Director, Brit Kramer.
