Starting yesterday and running through May 17th, Pax Christi International is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a World Assembly in Bethlehem. The theme for the gathering is "Pilgrims on the Path to Peace."

In addition to the World Assembly, Pax Christi International has organized a "living stones" pilgrimage, which began on May 10th and runs through May 23rd, through the Holy Land Christian Ecumenical Foundation under the direction of Bob Cooke, co-coordinator of Pax Christi Metro D.C.-Baltimore. Members and staff of Pax Christi USA, in addition to representatives of partner organizations, are participating in both the World Assembly and the pilgrimage.

If you'd like to explore the assembly and the pilgrimage alongside us, you can do so through a special webpage I have set up on the Pax Christi USA site. The page features some of the reflections and commentaries of participants, photos, and other resources and items of interest from the assembly and pilgrimage.

In Christ's peace,

Johnny Zokovitch
