In the introduction to this year's Advent reflection booklet, Unshakeable Belief: Advent 2013, Sr. Patty Chappell, SNDdeN, Pax Christi USA Executive Director, writes:
"Each day brings us an opportunity to reflect more deeply on our commitment to live our humanity as nonviolent peacemakers, to pray for cooperation with God's grace--a grace that compels us to act as peace-builders in an increasingly violent world. The writers (of this year's booklet) break open the depth of meaning in Pax Christi USA's commitment to live and act from a deep core of nonviolent spirituality."
If you haven't gotten a copy of this year's booklet, they're still available as both hard-copies and e-booklets. You can order yours, as well as other Advent resources and Christmas gifts, by clicking here.
Also, yesterday, we sent out an e-appeal for this Advent season. We understand that times are tough for many, but we hope that those of you who have the means to do so can help us continue this important work with a generous donation during the holiday season. You can give quickly, easily and securely online by clicking here.
Below is the e-Update for December 2013, a recap of all of the items you may have missed but which are still relevant from the past month or so. We hope you'll take a few moments today or later this week to review them and use them as you see fit.
