Take a PMP Exam Preparation Course through IUPUI!

Written by David Maynard, MBA, PMP, IUPUI Professional Development and Corporate Education Instructor

David Maynard

The PMP is an internationally-recognized certification that carries a high level of prestige within the project management community. If you plan on a career as a project manager, then you should consider getting your PMP. Perhaps most importantly, the PMP certification establishes a common language among project managers and helps each other work within a common framework.

PMP certification proves that you have project management experience

In order to apply to take the PMP exam, you are required to have attained a certain amount of experience leading and directing projects as well as specific Project Management training for the exam. The Project Management Institute (PMI) has an audit process to help ensure that potential PMPs are truthful about their project history.

IUPUI's class

Our PMP exam preparation class combines several methods of learning. Classes are taught via an interactive session with a live instructor, via your PC and Adobe Connect. Each of these classes cover the PMBOK guide and material commonly found on the PMP exam. In addition, the class offers an online environment for taking practice questions, additional material including a "guide to the guide," mind maps and more.
