I met up with Phil at the 2013 US National Windsurfing Championships in Cabrillo Beach, California where he took 1st in Freestyle and 3rd in Men's Slalom.
On a low wind day he windsurfed and pulled off some fun moves. I was amazed at his strength, skill and ability to control his torso as he whipped his board and sail into the wind.
Phil also provides free windsurfing clinics and I think that is an awesome testament to a professional who loves his sport and connecting with his fans. Thumbs up Phil!
He's only been home a handful of days this year as he travels the world and competes. Training on the go is a must!
I took him through an upper body and shoulder stability workout. He's using the Freestyle Starter, 3" Balls and 5" half balls. This lightweight combo will easily travel with all of his oversized gear!
He is headed to Holland for the PWA World Tour but you can see another amazing video for the AWSI.
Connect with Phil and read more about his interesting history and the 5 languages he speaks. Check out his website and twitter.

November 16th, 2013 Johny takes on George St-Peirre for the UFC Title Fight in Las Vegas, NV at the MGM Grand.
Johny is 5'9", weighs 170 lbs and has a record of 15-1-0. He started training for his MMA career in 2007 after two NCAA Championship titles and 4-time All-American honors at Oklahoma State University.
Marc Laimon, head MMA coach at Team Takedown, founder of Cobra Kai Jiu-Jitsu, and Pan Am Gold Medalist is making sure Johny is ready!
Marc said: "Johny & everybody else LOVE the Si Boards! It's the first thing everybody plays with & the last! The guys are very competitive and are always trying to out do each other and come up with tricks!"
He recently traveled to Oklahoma State University to train and brought the Turbo Original with 5" ball. This is a perfect small board to throw into a suitcase for his late night training.
Follow Johny and find out he got the name "Bigg Rigg" on twitter.
