C-SC Enactus Helps Haiti
Support this project by purchasing an Aluminum Water Bottle!
| |
C-SC's chapter of Enactus has announced the launch of a project to help communities that need clean and safe drinking water. The student group is selling Aluminum Water Bottles to raise money for water-lacking communities in Haiti. The water bottle sales enable the purchase of re-usable filtration systems for water bottles, straws, and wells, to prevent the spread of diseases.
All proceeds of this project go toward buying filtration systems for communities in Haiti. This designated water-deficient region was targeted after analyzing reports of an epidemic outbreak as a result of contaminated drinking water ensuing the 2010 earthquake that left this region devastated.
After a soft launch and polling public interests earlier this month, Enactus began selling aluminum water bottles on campus in the Wildcat Warehouse and online through the group's website: cscenactus.com. The bottles are BPA-free and sell for $20 online.
"Enactus at C-SC has already impacted many lives and businesses in the past, but with this new project we are hoping to encourage people to give whatever they can spare to impact others. As we might take safe and clean drinking water for granted, this is not the case in many places around the world and is a daily challenge to some people," said Jasper Wieling, student-lead on this project.
