Simon tells us about the history of his store and his decision to sell kosher premium ice cream. We also have in studio legendary rock 'n' roll concert promoter Barry Fey who speaks with students from the Denver Academy of Torah High School about his Jewish upbringing and the rock n' roll industry. Still like that old time rock 'n' roll - that kind of music just soothes the soul...
Last Week (9/2): Hut, Hut, HIKE!!! As the football season starts, with former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow now with the NY Jets, Radio Chavura had the opportunity to talk to Robert Bernton, CFO of Tebowing.com, about the worldwide phenomenon started by Denver Jewish Day School graduate Jared Kleinstein.
Rob, who attended DJDS with Jared, told us the story behind the phenomenon, and what the upcoming football season will mean for business.
But first, we heard from the founder of The Kosher Express - an OU-certified Glatt Kosher meat delivery service that was started in 2010. In keeping with Jewish tradition and values, The Kosher Express donates a portion of all its proceeds to Jewish day schools, and other participating institutions. The twist? The Kosher Express was started by... Rob Bernton! Talk about a Jewish business worth supporting!
