Outstanding Educators at Grattan Elementary

Mark Thomas and Daryl Tran at Grattan Elementary are two extraordinary educators, leaders and coaches. Mark and Daryl enthusiastically educate students with Autism in an engaging, supportive and student centered way and use a data driven approach to student instruction. Mark and Daryl also assisted in establishing a culture of acceptance and understanding of Autism at Grattan, they regularly appreciate classroom paraprofessionals for their outstanding support and maintain strong family communication. Thank you for all you do to support students Mark and Daryl!

Lisa Miller - SpEd Admin of the Year Award

On Monday, April 25, the Association of California School Administrators awarded Lisa Miller, Director of Special Education Services, the Special Education Administrator of the Year Award. This distinguished honor is reflective of Lisa's dedication to closing the achievement gap and supporting students, families, teachers and the Special Education Central Office Team over the past 4.5 years. Congratulations Lisa! 

Christine Soto - April Featured Teacher

Congratulations to Christine Soto, April Featured Teacher! Desta White, Francis Scott Key's Nurse nominated Christine because she "is compassionate and attentive to students, families and all staff. She is knowledgeable and organizes her classroom activities around student's individual abilities and needs and creates an outstanding camaraderie between students, teachers and paras in the classroom. Christine is a team player, with a focus on access and equity for all SFUSD students!"

ESY & Teaching in SFUSD

SFUSD is hiring talented, motivated and compassionate teachers and paraprofessionals for Extended School Year (ESY) and the 2016/17 school year! ESY is a great opportunity to earn extra money and do what you love!
