Special Education Awesomeness
Smarter Balanced Assessment
(SBAC)
The Smarter Balanced Assessment will be happening soon. Almost 30,000 students in SFUSD will be taking the new assessments, which replace the STAR program in California. Based on the Common Core State Standards, the new assessments are administered on computers and use computer-adaptive technology that adjusts to each individual student's level and has built in accommodations and modifications that better meet student's needs. Want more information? Click here and on the links below!
The ATIC is now open two days per week from 3-5:30 for Open Lab hours. Teachers and Related Service Providers can visit the ATIC lab and have access to a training space, desktop computers, printing and a laminator. This Spring the Lab will be in a trial phase while we better understand the supply and demand of the ATIC. The ATIC is located at Special Education Services in Bungalow C.
