Abilities Awareness at Alvarado Elementary Parents and staff at Alvarado Elementary School organized "Abilities Awareness Stations" to celebrate inclusion. Students rotated from station to station and engaged in simulated activities to gain awareness for what it's like to have a disability. Through this unique experience students became more aware of some of the challenges our exceptional students face.

Students Teach Students at Grattan Elementary
Grattan Elementary students lead lessons for their peers to celebrate Inclusive Schools Week. One lesson focused on inclusive practices and identifying individual similarities and differences and being unique. The other lesson was a simulation of fine motor challenges. Parent volunteers joined in on the teaching as well. Learning inclusion from your peers proved to be huge a success!
