SFUSD Enrollment Fair, November 2nd

The SFUSD Enrollment Fair at the Concourse Exhibition Center on November 2nd was a huge success! Hundreds of parents and family members turned out to talk with SFUSD staff and administrators about the enrollment process and enrollment options. Workshops were also available for participants. The workshops focused on Transitional Kindergarten, Special Education Services, Language pathways, Middle school feeder patterns and after school program opportunities. The Special Education Team greeted parents as they arrived in the main lobby, answered questions and discussed the Service Delivery Model. To view the presentation click here

CASEMIS:  Special Education Services Report to the State

Special Education Case Managers and Services Providers have been hard at work ensuring their Caseloads in SEIS (Special Education Information System) are CASEMIS error free this month. CASEMIS stands for California Special Education Management Information System. CASEMIS is a database that stores and utilizes special education student-level information at the state level. SFUSD submits data to CASEMIS two times per year. For Halloween the data team dressed as CASEMIS information. Accurate CASEMIS data allows for the accountability of resources, projections for student need and the capacity to provide high quality services to students across the district. The Special Education Department along with folks from C&I celebrated Halloween dressing up as favorite characters, nationalities, and CASEMIS corrections. It was a day filled with hard work and lots of fun!
