Inclusion Quilt

Ulloa teachers Alexa Cadwallader and Amy Buffington celebrated Inclusive Schools Week by making a school-wide "Inclusion Quilt" with images, mottos, and shared experiences of what inclusion feels or looks like to kids. Each student decorated a 4x4 square that was placed on a larger 21x21 square for their class. They then tied all 21 class pieces together with yarn.(The Inclusion Quilt is featured at the top of the newsletter.)

Celebrating Diverse Learners

Students at Argonne Elementary celebrated Inclusive Schools Week by decorating "gifts". The gifts symbolized each diverse learner and what they bring to the Argonne Community. Staff also visited classrooms and gave lessons about diversity and the importance of welcoming and respecting all members of the community.  Read More
