Community Raises over $100,000 at 9th Annual Gala for Jeffco Kids!
The Enduring Resources 9th Annual Gala Presented by King Soopers was an unforgettable evening filled with entertainment, laughter, and fun as a great crowd came out to make a difference in the lives of our kids!

At the end of the night, guests were surprised with the announcement that funds from a generous donation were earmarked to cover all the costs for the night.  What does this mean? It means that ALL the funds that were raised that evening would be going to support Outdoor Lab programs-every penny is going towards helping Outdoor Lab thrive!  The excitement didn't stop there.  King Soopers presented the Foundation with a check recognizing $1,000,000 in support of student tuition over the past three and half years!

The success of this event will ultimately help Outdoor Lab continue to be the impactful program that it has been for over 58 years. Because of donors like YOU we will be able to kick start the Seeds to Table program at the two sites--which will give the students a chance to learn about the cycle of food production and food choices.

Intern-Windy Peak

Why did you want to be an intern?
I want to live for what I love.  I love kids and I love the outdoors, so including both into one is amazing. Before, I wanted to be a teacher.  This internship is to get a taste of that experience.

Mount Evans: Flood repair continues

This summer, FEMA will be completing the reconstruction of our two retaining ponds along Haystack Gulch above the main campus.  The spillways from these ponds were eroded underneath during the last floods.

In coordinated work with the funds awarded by Gov. Hickenlooper and the State of Colorado, a new sewage treatment system and emergency power supply will also be installed near the current location of our evaporation pond.

This is the final phase (begun last year) of rebuilding our sewage system that was heavily damaged in the floods.

Volunteer Event with Eide Bailly

On Wednesday, May 13th, Eide Bailly came out to Mount Evans to help clean up their astronomy lab and repaint the restrooms to get it ready for GT week!  It was a great morning and the members who volunteered were a great asset to have! The amount of work they accomplished together would have taken the site staff days to complete!

Thank you Eide Bailly for your support and hard work!  And a big thank you for being a Gold Sponsor at the Outdoor Lab Gala!
