Bainbridge Island at work... together! May 7, 2013
|
|
Greetings!
Come celebrate the BIG IDEAS and local wisdom from your community! One week from tonight is showtime for Ignite Bainbridge 2. Slides from presenters are due by midnight tonight, and I witnessed some inspiring run-throughs at the first of double-header speakers workshops today. Recent press: an article in the Kitsap Sun and Karen Hallis' article in Inside Bainbridge. There's also lots of chatter on the Ignite Bainbridge Facebook page.
Your $5 ticket includes a pre-party mixer at 6pm at OfficeXpats, complete with snacks and drinks from Soup'r Burger, Bon Bon, Hales Ales, Eleven Winery, and more. Then downstairs, in the Bainbridge Cinema, the show starts promptly at 7pm. Last year the party continued after the show as well, so this year the OfficeXpats jam band has reunited to amp up further the anticipated energy generated by the event. See http://ignitebainbridge.eventbrite.com/ for tickets, or you can get your ticket in person at OfficeXpats.

Water that talks to you!
A new member, Len Beil, has installed a device connected to our sink giving us access to seven different waters instantly. Kangen in Japanese means "back to origin." Please enjoy this electrolyzed, alkaline, antioxidant, microclustered Kangen Water for your health. Whew! Members can even bring a big bottle and take some home. And you may have noticed that the Kangen Water machine talks to you.
- 7.0 pH to 9.5pH are for drinking. For the health benefits of alkaline, start with 8.5, and after two weeks move to 9.0 and eventually to 9.5.
- 5.5pH is "Beauty Water," to be used as a facial and skin toner
- 11.5pH is an eco-friendly cleaner.
- 2.5pH strong acidic water that is an extremely efficient, cost effective, eco-friendly sanitizer. Restaurants throughout Japan have been using this water to disinfect and sanitize foods, sushi knives, cutting boards, and kitchens and bathrooms.
Thursday, May 9th, 5:30pm: Bring your tap water or your bottled water and Len will test it. Learn more about the health claims for alkaline water. Understand what is coming out the clear hose when you fill your glass from the tap. And ask about "microclustering;" it has something to do with making coffee taste better. This will be fun, informative and eye opening! You are welcome to bring family and friends to the presentation.
Len is happy to answer questions. Reach him at 780-2111 or 387-0904, or e-mail lenbeil3@msn.com. Change your water, change your life!

Member profile: Sid Mais and the story of Horizon Home Inventory
Sid's business model is taking a photographic inventory of the physical assets in your business and home and delivering a detailed report provided on a DVD that you keep in a secured location. Situations such as selling a business, probate, property disputes, a vacant or rental property, moving and storage, crime/flood/fire damage, and natural disasters are all examples where a prior asset inventory can save your sanity.
Here's an unsolicited testimonial from Sid, bless his heart. "Once I joined OfficeXpats last summer, I promptly began to modify my business plan for launching Horizon Home Inventory with the unique influence of individual coworkers, networking group, and a business incubator. What a supportive group of coworkers! Dave Kragen (KaveDragen Ink) has a keen ability to help you utilize your own creativity in advancing the next step in your business plan. And "Out Of The Box Thinking" as only presented by Bill Ruddick (Ruddick Consulting) is one of many useful seminars at OfficeXpats. And I'm proud to say one of my first clients is a fellow Xpat member; thank you Stephen Kersten (Bainbridge Water Systems)."
You can reach Sid at 206-265-1988, or sid@horizonhomeinventory.com, and learn more at www.horizonhomeinventory.com. We got your back, Sid!
