Greetings!
 Welcome to February. The sold-out WordPress class debuted this week, and some were left out, so we will get another one going soon. This Thursday's Happy Hour is also our monthly Open House, so ALL OF YOU are invited to stop by and get a tour and share a drink with us. Some folks from Advanced Wellness and Rehabilitation will be on hand to offer FREE chair massages. Should we talk them into setting up shop here a few hours a week?
New chairs in the office are causing excitement. Our member Jeffrey Giblin is sponsoring these ergonomic Alex Zanda chairs, and is offering a generous member discount. Also, due to Valentines Day, there will be no Follow the Money economics salon this month. Too bad! We have some great TED talks to watch and discuss.  The WordPress class for this month may be sold out, but that means we are hustling to put another one out there. Annette is asking for feedback in another survey that will help us design this next class. Fill it out and be first in line.
For the participants in the current class, the first session got most up and running with a basic site under their own domain. Next up: customizing with logos and content. .

16 Northwest coworking and collaboration spaces

 Susan Evans Dorsch, of Office Nomads (remember her visit to OfficeXpats?), has taken the lead on a website to share the coworking and collaboration spaces in the Northwest. Called the Seattle Collaborative Space Alliance (SCSA), it lists 16 different spaces! So when you venture out to the mainland, you may want to explore some of these. Let us know, and we'll write up your experiences to share with our community.

 Open House, Massage, and BBC Evening Edition
On Thursday, February 7, OfficeXpats hosts an open house from 5-6pm. We invite you to share a drink with us, get a quick tour, and get introduced to some members. If you have the time and inclination, you can segue right into the evening Bainbridge Business Connections (BBC) at 6pm and explore a fun and friendly business support and networking group.
Massage: We have a generous gift from Advanced Wellness & Rehabilitation for free chair massages. Come early to grab a slot.
Members, please invite people in your circles to show them the space, introduce them to the community, and offer them a drink.
If you are not a member, there's no pressure to "sign up." This is just a great way to make a monthly or occasional connection with our members and keep up with new directions. However, we do give out "free day" gift cards at the Open House, if you want to try us out.

OfficeXpats on Bainbridge Island is a community workplace also known as coworking. Our vision is to become THE place on Bainbridge Island where independent workers, small businesses, and big ideas find community and support.
OfficeXpats is located upstairs in the Pavilion on Madison, just a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal, through beautiful downtown Winslow. We hope to help you in your quest for 'new ways to work.'
