About Us

The Aliso Niguel High School Instrumental Music Boosters, Inc (ANHSIMB) is a California non-profit corporation, recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 organization. Our *sole* purpose for existence is to provide funding, resources, and support for the instrumental music programs at Aliso Niguel High School. The organization is governed and managed by a Board of Directors, who are elected on an annual basis and serve as volunteers.  

 

Regular monthly meetings of the ANHSIMB Board of Directors are open to the public, and are held at 7pm on the third Wednesday of the month in the ANHS Band Room. All are welcome to attend.
Dear ANHS Instrumental Music Booster, 

May is always a month of hyperactivity at ANHS, as seniors prepare for graduation and underclassmen begin mapping out the coming school year. 

It's also the time when 8th-grade students and their parents begin the transition to high school. If you know any freshman parents who would benefit from receiving this e-mail (and who wouldn't consider it to be spam), we'd ask that you use the "forward e-mail" link located at the bottom of this newsletter to send them a copy.

Here's what's happening in the ANHS music programs this month:
Headline IconColor Guard Clinics & Auditions
 

Try-outs and clinics for the 2014-15 ANHS Color Guard will be held on the following days at the ANHS Band Room. 

 

Students are asked to:

- arrive 15 minutes before all start times

- wear black work-out clothes - tee shirts, leotards, shorts, sweats, etc

- wear athletic shoes or dance shoes - no Converse-style shoes!

 

What: ANHS COLOR GUARD CLINICS AND TRY-OUTS Where: ANHS Band Room

When: 

FRIDAY, MAY 16, 4-6 pm - CLINIC

MONDAY, MAY 19, 4-6 pm - CLINIC

TUESDAY, MAY 20, 4-6 pm - AUDITIONS

WEDNESDAY, MAY 21, 7pm - NEW PARENT-GUARD MEMBER meeting in the ANHS Band Room

The 7th-Annual Taste of Aliso Niguel was held at the Laguna Design Center on Aliso Creek Road on Saturday, April 26th. 
 
The ANHSIMB raised a total of $2,366 from the event.
 
Thanks to Renee Jones and Vernon and Michelle Villasenor who gathered and assembled our auction items, and who ran our booth at the event. And a very special thanks to all of our supporters who donated items for our silent auction!

The Spring Ensemble Concert will be held in Wolverine Gymnasium @ 7:30pm on June 3.
 
2014 ANHS Booster Scholarship Applications are due on June 6. The scholarship is open to all graduating seniors involved in the ANHS Instrumental Music Programs.
 
The Annual Band Awards Banquet will be held @ 6pm on June 13 in the small gymnasium at ANHS.
 
   
Freshman Band Member placement auditions will be held June 9-10 and June 16-17 between 4-7pm. Incoming freshman must each schedule a 30-minute audition with Mr. Weinberg. E-mail Mr Weinberg for more information.
 
Freshman Band Parent Orientation will be held @ 7pm on June 12 in the ANHS Theater. The 2014-15 school year will be outlined for all new students and their parents. Help spread the word so we have a great turn out for this very important meeting!
 
Pre-summer Band Camp runs June 25-27. Attendance is mandatory.
