Software Metrics - Friend or Foe?
Metrics are used in numerous applications such as planning and performance optimization and especially as a measure of software quality. However, there is much discussion over which, if any, metrics are actually of value. In this presentation delivered at the Embedded World Conference, Jill Britton, our Technical Support Manager will look at some of the debate concerning the necessity of software metrics and how their use can improve software quality.

The next release of QA·Verify (version 1.5) is imminent and includes support for an advanced form of deviation restriction, large-project performance enhancements in report generation, display of file and function relationship information, integration of Structure101 and various other usability enhancements.
QA·C++ 3.1 will also be released shortly. The new features include additional ISO C++ 2011 features such as 'rvalue references' and 'variadic templates', a new GUI, native 64-bit support for Windows, Linux and Solaris and finally UTF-8 language support.
