Medicaid has "pended" many claims in this week's remittance. These were not included in the remittance and instead are listed in the supplemental file.
This was done in preparation for the billing rule becoming active on October 1 as per the notice sent out by OMH and DOH notice regarding OPRA. The pended claims are ones where the attending or referring providers are not valid Medicaid providers (No OPRA application was submitted).
If your agency has a large volume of these, this is an indication that you need to quickly follow up on the attending and referring providers being included in the claims.
