In IMA, the same activity codes will be able to be used (when appropriate) and we will be supporting a crosswalk where the code used in the claim will be based on the date of service.
The open question is whether Medicaid and the other payers will be ready to support this on January 1st or if they will need a period of time using the old codes before their payment systems are ready. If that is the case, the crosswalk would need to be implemented on a payer by payer basis.
