2013 Spring and Summer Garden Seeds
How the Seed Library and Distribution Works

Your collective donations each year allow us to bulk purchase seeds before each growing season (spring/summer and fall/winter). For a suggested donation of $20 per year, you are entitled to all the seeds in the library. We order varieties we know will grow, based on gardener feed back, and recommended varieties.

We also have some seeds saved and donated by members. Our long term goal is that most of our seed is locally grown and saved!

If you are not already signed up, you can sign up ahead of the distribution, or do so on one of the distribution dates. Please let us know if you are unable to donate, or would prefer to swap.

Review the seed description list, and decide ahead of time if possible, what you would like. You can print your checklist off and bring it with you. We will have checklist, descriptions and pictures on distribution day.

A note on quantities and availability.
Some varieties are on a limited, first come, first serve basis and may run out early. There's plenty of seed to go around, you just may not get exactly what you wanted if you come late.

More details about the seed library can be found on our website
Bring some extra cash, we have cool Grow Gainesville magnets, seed saving booklets and hopefully seeds available from the Edible Plant Project.
Seed Storage
If you have extra seeds in good condition (read here for more information), please consider donating them for other gardeners to grow!
