Employer Failed To Make Reasonable Adjustments For Disabled Employee At Interview
In the recent case of Waddingham v NHS Business Services Authority an Employment Tribunal upheld a claim for an employer's failure to make reasonable adjustments, which was brought by a disabled employee who failed to achieve the required score in a competitive interview for an internal position.

Indirect Discrimination and Length of Service Pay Criterion
In Naeem v The Secretary of State for Justice [2015] the Court of Appeal held that a length-of-service criterion in the pay system of the Prison Service did not indirectly discriminate against a Muslim prison chaplain on the grounds of religion or race.

Employer's English speaking requirement: race discrimination or harassment?
In Kelly v Covance Laboratories Ltd [2015] the Claimant, who was of Russian national origin, appealed to the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) alleging that her employer discriminated against her and harassed her on the basis of her race, because she was not allowed to speak in Russian whilst at work.

Can An Employee Be Dismissed Without Notice For Disclosing Confidential Information?
In Farnan v Sunderland Association Football Club Ltd [2015] the High Court dismissed the Claimant's claim for wrongful dismissal and breach of contract, and found that the employer was right to dismiss the Claimant without notice for disclosing confidential information.
