Frederick County residents (not for business wastes)

WHAT:
Free disposal of items such as
garden and household chemicals, fluorescent bulbs (compact and tube), old fuel, medicines (in original containers only) and much more.
Items not accepted at this event include alkaline batteries, paint and motor oil.

WHO: 
Frederick County residents (not for business wastes)

WHAT:
A wide variety of electronics may be brought in for recycling: televisions*, video game consoles, mobile phones, digital cameras, print/copy/fax machines, DVD/VHS/Blu-Ray players, radio and stereo equipment, computers and peripherals**, etc.  All materials normally accepted for electronics recycling will be collected at this event; for a complete list, please visit our website. (All other items are unacceptable at this free event.) 
  • This is a residential  event; materials from commercial sources or on business vehicles will not be accepted.
  • Your driver's license will be used for proof of Frederick County residency.
  • *A limit of 2 televisions and/or monitors will be accepted per residence.
  • **Please note: we are unable to provide a certificate of destruction for secure data.

 This event is funded by a grant from the MD Dept. of the Environment. Once the specified limit of  materials for this event has been collected, electronics will be accepted at the regular residential rate.
