The Pinellas County beaches has been voted one of the top 10 finest beaches.The beach is long enough for any walker or jogger with 20 miles of mostly unbroken sandy white beaches.They are clean, wide and pristine and best of all uncrowded. The water is crystal clear. Ideal for swimming, snorkeling or Scuba diving. Or stay above the water and rent a sailboat, wind surfer, wave runner or maybe if you like to be way above the water, then  parasailing is your thing.

Pinellas County maintains three major parks along the Gulf Coast. These three parks offer a list of amenities that include picnicking facilities, fishing opportunities and other items of interest.

Here are some family activities:
Take a walk along three miles of boardwalk and paved trails at WeedonIsland, a pristine and natural resource once home to Seminole Indians. The park features a 50-foot-high lookout site overTampa Bay waters showcasing a panoramic view of downtown St. Petersburg, Tropicana Field, and Tampa. Feel the rumble when the "World's Fastest Spring Break Party," a.k.a., the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, roars through downtown St. Petersburg each spring. pinellas trail The Pinellas Trail is a 47-mile fitness trail built on abandoned railways. One of the longest linear parks in the United States, it runs from Tarpon Springs to the north to its terminus in south St. Petersburg, recently  extended to the downtown waterfront.  The Trail provides a unique, protected greenspace for walking, jogging, skating, and biking. .

Tampa Bay Segs offers one and a half hour tours of the waterfront aboard a personalized Segway vehicle. The tour leaves from the Museum of History near The Pier several times daily and Downtown Tampa's Channelside Mall.

Fun Rentals offers two-, four- and six-seater surrey bikes that can be rented across from The Pier Bait House.  

Every Evening - Sunset at Pier 60 (10 Pier 60 Drive, Clearwater) runs 2 hours before and after sunset featuring artisans, crafters, and live street performers

First Friday in Downtown St Petersburg is a monthly block party on Central Ave
with live music and libations. See what downtown has to offer. This is the First
Friday of the Month (February 1, March 1, etc).

Clearwater has always been an incredible location for dolphin watching and even the place to meet America's most famous dolphin and star of Dolphin Tale, Winter, but more than fifty new dolphins are creating quite a buzz in Clearwater. Clearwater's Dolphins is a unique artistic initiative featuring a growing pod of more than fifty 6-foot tall fiberglass dolphins, each individually designed by a local artist and sponsored by an area business.

Every Wednesday the colorful tents and booths of the Downtown Clearwater Farmer's Market are filled with farm fresh produce, delicious cheeses, fresh baked goods, glorious cut flowers, plants and much, much more.

pinellas manatee Swim with manatee tours are conducted daily, year round. in Crystal River (about 1 hour north of the beaches). The manatee tours are perfect for the beginner, or the experienced snorkeler. Of course, if you prefer not to enter the water, you are welcome to stay on board the boat to view the manatees from above and even capture those once in a lifetime, one of a kind, manatee pictures.

Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival...February 16 - 17. Enjoy the seventh annual Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival for two seafood and blues filled days featuring a variety of national blues artists. This year the event features Kenny Wayne Shepherd, who joins an impressive roster of top artists such as Magic Slim, The Lee Boys, Hamilton Loomis, Coco Montoya, Moreland & Arbuckle, and Trampled Under Foot.
