Greetings!
Normally, we use this newsletter to offer communications and media relations advice, but with so many changes happening at Anat Gerstein, Inc., we instead want to provide you with an update on our firm. We have new team members, have been invited to join the Nonprofit Management Excellence Awards' selection committee, and have just launched our new website.
We'll be back to the regular format - including advice from reporters in the Pitching Notes section - next month.
All the best,
The Anat Gerstein, Inc. team

New Site, Better Information

We just launched our new website, and you can be among the first to see it at: anatgerstein.com
The page we are most proud of is our accomplishments page. We are thrilled that we have the opportunity to work with great clients for whom we can get great results.
Among our recent accomplishments:
· We launched two Facebook campaigns for a client that increased page likes by over 30% during a 4-month period, bringing total likes from 2,200 to over 3,000. The campaign also increased interaction on the page, tripling reach from 3,000+ to 9,000+ per week.
· We secured a story in the The Wall Street Journal and a blog in The Huffington Post on behalf of a client's energy efficiency efforts. Following this coverage, the client was invited to be part of a Clinton Global Initiative energy work group.
· We secured an opportunity for a client to testify at a City Council hearing and turned the testimony (which we drafted) into an opinion piece that we pitched to the The Huffington Post. As a result, the The Huffington Post asked the client to be a regular blogger.
· Press coverage we garnered on behalf of a client, following extensive Superstorm Sandy-related damage to their facility, generated over $800,000 in donations, including a $500,000 anonymous contribution, a $100,000 foundation grant, and nearly $200,000 in small donations from people across the country.
You can find information about our team, samples of our work, and information about our services on the site.

Introducing Joanna and Nathan
| |
We've added two new team members in recent months. Joanna came on board around the start of the year and Nathan joined us last week.
Nathan comes to us from Renna Communications, where he worked with progressive and LGBT nonprofit clients. Prior to his work at Renna, Nathan worked as a researcher for Media Matters For America in Washington, DC.
Joanna, a part-timer who helps us with everything, previously worked at Weber Shandwick, providing media relations services for consumer goods products.
Nathan and Joanna are smart, thoughtful, great writers and hard workers. We are thrilled to have them on our team.
You can learn more about Joanna, Nathan, and our old-timers Jeff, Zac and Katrin, here.
