6 Great Reasons to Practice HOT Yoga in the Summer:

  1. You'll better acclimate to the heat outside: Your body cools itself more efficiently through sweat.
  2. You'll cope better with the heat: You learn to focus on breath when things heat up, or to kneel or sit in order to lower your heart rate.
  3. You'll take your practice deeper: Your muscles, joints and ligaments will already be nice and warm when you enter the studio, so you may be more flexible.
  4. You'll be in better shape activities: You will have more endurance when you're getting physical outside!
  5. You'll detoxify more: If you sweat more during class, you'll release more toxins.
  6. You will tone up for the summer: You'll look great and feel more comfortable and confident all summer long!

TIPS FOR SUMMER PRACTICE:

  • Hydrate Properly Drink at least 1 liter of water before every class.  Will prevent stomach pains and fatigue.
  • Replenish Electrolytes. Electrolytes, will be lost from the body during periods of heavy sweating.  Symptoms include dizziness, headaches and muscle cramping.  Electrolytes are contained in most sports drinks, coconut water, and nuuns.
  • Eat right. A snack or light meal an hour or so before working out is recommended.
  • Dress for it. Cotton clothing -once drenched in sweat, it will feel heavy and clammy against your skin.  Moisture-wicking clothing is great for keeping you comfortable during class!
  • Invest in a Yogitoes Towel.  A Yogitoes towel you can lay over your mat while you practice, which is made of microfibers that absorb moisture and become grippy when wet.
  • Go au natural Rinse off before to remove any lotions or oils that will make skin slippery once you sweat.
  • Take rest as neededIf you feel lightheaded, dizzy or otherwise ill at any point during the practice, take a break and come to child's pose.

1.
  'Sign In' upon your arrival ~ Please scan at the desk.(even if you sign in online).

2. Cell Phone Free Zone ~ Please turn off your phone and leave it outside the studio rooms.

3. DO NOT leave animals alone in Vehicles ~
Please help us keep all fur babies safe and leave them home while you attend class! (...even when there is shade and a cool breeze in the air)
 

4. Stay for the Whole Class ~ It avoids disrupting other students and maintains the energy of the room.
 

5. Shoes off inside ~ Please don't wear your shoes through the studio or rooms. Embrace the freedom of being barefoot!

6. Quiet while Exiting ~ We love the energy after a class, but sometimes we have other classes still in session during your exit. Leaving as quietly as possible would be greatly appreciated!
