COMPANY MOVES NEXT TO CHAMBER

In the just completed renovation of the offices next to our Chamber office and just outside the door of Keller Williams Premiere Realty, will be Chicago Title.  They recently received the keys and will be moving in shortly, bringing in four full time jobs.  Chicago Title is over 160 years old and has offices serving primarily the midwest and western U.S.

REINVESTING IN APPLE VALLEY EMPLOYEES

Anchor Bank in Apple Valley will be spending over a quarter million dollars by the end of March to begin renovation of their 3rd Floor and create modern and premier office space available for over 50 employees who have all these years been in their basement running their operations.  The natural light alone will really enhance the workplace for their administrative talent.   We will take photos once construction begins.  The Chamber thanks Anchor Bank's headquarters for enhancing their Apple Valley location which will keep these top professional jobs in Apple Valley over the long term.

AUTHENTIC MEXICAN RESTAURANT NOW OPEN

Fiesta Mexican Restaurant opened a month ago in the old Spoon location and they recently became Apple Valley Chamber members.  Mayor Mary, Bruce Nordquist, Chamber Chair Jodi Kurtz and Chamber President Ed Kearney had lunch there earlier this week to welcome them.

Pictured above is their cheery cheesecake.  Trust us, it's great!  Longtime Chamber member Al Ynegues plays guitar every Friday at 6:00 p.m. for guests.  Fiesta is family owned and operated, show your support by joining them for lunch or dinner!

BUSINESS ON APPLE VALLEY/LAKEVILLE BORDER CLOSES

Play It Again Sports has closed their doors.  We caught them the day before closing and the owner told us he was closing due to good old cashflow.  "People don't buy a lot of used equipment for Christmas presents, plus the building has been sold."  He enjoyed his time there which is actually on our border in Lakeville at the southeast corner of Cedar and 160th opposite Walgreens on Cedar.   They sold all the inventory to someone who said they will open a golf only store south of the river somewhere yet to be determined.

BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW

Wings Financial headquartered here in Apple Valley is a $4 billion company.  Few realize that on their 5th floor is a huge National Call Center which is a division of Wings.  They handle all the calls throughout the US and activity has been very high with all the latest credit card precautions being made by Wings in response to the Target security breach.  They have made every proactive effort to protect members.
